Electric Vehicles

Electric Vehicles

Do you believe 100% electric vehicles will be sustainable?

Enough power, without using fossil fuel?

That they are safe?

Enough charging points for all desiring one?

Responsible mining to replace  billions of batteries that have an 8 year guaranty?

Safe disposal of billions of toxic batteries?

Government announced to end the sale of new petrol and diesel cars and vans by 2030

What does that mean for us and the planet?

  • Long queues to charge vehicles at public points
  • No car ownership for those without access to charging points
  • The National Grid will not cope with 40million electrically powered  cars so reduction of cars will be forced
  • More demand than supply of electricity may:
  • affect energy prices (will that be in our favour?)
  • create a choice between travel or heating homes.
  • Public transport may be your only option whatever your situation, but will that be cheap, efficient and reliable?
  • Guarantied long recharging stops  on long journeys

Electric Trucks

#Reality Check

Requires 2 batteries the approximate weight of 4 cars

Too heavy to tow by another electric vehicle

Too demanding on the national grid.

Wise Thoughts...

Production

"production of an electric car were 70 per cent higher than in the manufacturing of a petrol one due to the resource-sapping

lithium ion batteries."

Rowan Atkinson

Weight

Electric vehicles are significantly heavier than petrol cars.

Car parks and bridges will need strengthening.

The AA use petrol trucks for recovery, due to weight.

Batteries

Manufacturers guaranty car batteries for 8years.

Will this make second hand

vehicles undesirable or simply unaffordable?

Average Car Battery

15kg Cobalt, 40kg Nickle

and 50g Lithium

x mass production of billions!

How will this be disposed of without contaminating the water supply?

Government Claims

Cars and vans represent 19% of
all domestic emissions

.

Almost every car and van to be zero
emission at the tailpipe by 2050!

 .

Phase out date for the sale of new petrol and diesel cars and vans brought forward to 2030

.

The global momentum towards zero emission vehicles is unstoppable.

How will they control how much electric is shared out?

With SMART METRES

and

programable Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).

We already enjoy the convenience of digital transactions,

so what benefit will the public receive from CBDC?

You may consider using cash inconvenient now, please consider the inconvenience if someone else is in control of your electric allowance easily controlled by a switch!

Feeling Vulnerable?

Consider London's Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ), Look at the lack of action Sadiq Khan is implementing on the toxic air underground, whilst at the same time forcing the public out of their cars, possibly underground.

The Office of National Statistics states ONE DEATH in London from 2001 - 2021 due to car emissions; So is ULEZ response proportional to the situation? Or money grab?
